8 Year Girl from Mauritius gets a New lease of life after a Successful Liver Transplant at Artemis Hospital

There is no doubt that it’s extremely burdening for any parent to see their child suffering from any health condition. The same was the case with 8-year old Tanushree.Despite being 8-years old, she weighed 22 kilos as her body was filled with unwanted fluid deposits and there were other health issues as well. She was immediately admitted in the Paediatric ICU and during the next 3-4 days, with the help a pipe and injections, the volume of fluid was brought down, after which her weight came down to 17 kilos.

Her mother was going to be the donor. So, after a detailed discussion with his other team members, under the expert supervision of Dr. Ramdip Ray, Tanushree underwent Liver Transplant procedure successfully. Both the mother and daughter recover very smoothly without any complications. Dr. Goel, ICU Consultant says that in such cases the role of donor is more crucial and after gaining consciousness, the first thing that Tanushree’s mother asked was about her daughter. Her parents are delighted that their daughter is doing much better now. They are specifically thankful to Dr. Ramdip Ray along with the other specialists who helped Tanushree during the entire tenure of treatment; last but not the least, the staff members and the nurses, who ensured that both the receiver and donor were looked after in the best way possible.
