Bariatric surgery in India is quiet easy to opt for the international candidates who are dangerously fat, for the purpose of losing weight. The fact that drives the foreign patients to India is easy availability of quality medical infrastructure along with low cost advantage. Bariatric surgery in India is performed with state of art facilities. We at Forerunners Healthcare group are offering Bariatric surgery in India and other medical treatments to countless international patients. They take mesmerizing memories with them. Unlike others, Mrs. Silverline from Nigeria also visited for her husband’s Bariatric surgery in India. She shares her and her husband’s experience with us.

Hi, To begin with, I am Mrs. Silverline, I am from Nigeria. I could now sense a sign of relief on my husband’s face after his successful Bariatric surgery in India. My husband is relaxed now with complete satisfaction; this is because he is free from the disorder he had. I remember how he used to feel; when he was overweight it really made his life miserable. His weight has always been a problem. He had been heavy ever since he started his school. He tried everything from diets to exercises. The diets would work for a while but then he’d go back to his previous weight. He had a couple of health issues. Being overweight, he was facing trouble in his daily chores. So our doctor suggested that he better go for his Bariatric Surgery, which might fix all his health problems. Soon we were seen moving all the corners for the solution of his Bariatric surgery, however, when I checked with the costing, facilities and quality it was far beyond our reach, I then decided to catch up with other countries, I tried with Mexico then someone suggested to try India, the result of Bariatric surgery in India, was really amazing. I got many links and people who rendered information on this subject, among them was the most suitable group called Forerunners Healthcare Group - a medical consultant. I then discussed the idea of my husband’s Bariatric surgery in India with them. I mailed them all his medical reports, and other details. After discussing the idea of going to india for his Bariatric surgery to which he ready agreed, I confirmed our trip to Forerunners for my husband’s Bariatric surgery in India. The company gave me some good offers which made things easy for us to decide.

We soon left for my husband’s Bariatric surgery in India. Things in India seemed perfect as per the discussion with the company, everything was organized upto the mark. The first thing we did was to meet the surgeon, he was a great person with impressive tract record. The surgeon during my Bariatric surgery in India adopted Sleeve gastrectomy, which is a surgical weight-loss procedure in which the stomach is reduced to about 15% of its original size, by surgical removal of a large portion of the stomach, following the major curve. The open edges are then attached together (often with surgical staples) to form a sleeve or tube with a banana shape. The procedure permanently reduces the size of the stomach. The procedure is performed laparoscopically and is not reversible. This combined approach has tremendously decreased the risk of weight loss surgery for specific groups of patients, even when the risk of the two surgeries is added. Most patients can expect to lose 30 to 50% of their excess body weight over a 6 - 12 month period with the sleeve gastrectomy alone. The timing of the second procedure will vary according to the degree of weight loss, typically 6 – 18 months.

- Stomach volume is reduced, but it tends to function normally so most food items can be consumed in small amounts. - Removes the portion of the stomach that produces the hormones that stimulates hunger (Ghrelin), although the durability of this removal has yet to be confirmed. - No dumping syndrome because the pylorus is preserved. - Minimizes the chance of an ulcer occurring. - By avoiding the intestinal bypass, the chance of intestinal obstruction (blockage), anemia, osteoporosis, protein deficiency and vitamin deficiency are significantly reduced. - Very effective as a first stage procedure for high BMI patients (BMI >55 kg/m2). - Limited results appear promising as a single stage procedure for low BMI patients (BMI 35–45 kg/m2). - Appealing option for people with existing anemia, Crohn's disease and numerous other conditions that make them too high risk for intestinal bypass procedures. Thus my husband had his smooth Bariatric surgery in India.

The surgeon suggested some measures to be followed by my husband after his Bariatric surgery in India, which  he have abided during its course of time. He has now recovered and has resumed his normal life. At the end, I would like to thank everybody, the doctors, nurses other medical staff and above all to the guys from Forerunners, who expedited my husband’s Bariatric surgery in India. May God bless them all!

Thank you,

Mrs. Silverline
